Ashika Ranganath was born to Ranganath and Sudha in Tumkur, Hassan district of Karnataka state. She studied at Bishop Sargent School, Tumkur. Later she moved to Jyothi Nivas College for pre-in. She is trained in various dance forms including Freestyle, Belly, and Western. She auditioned for the Clean and Clear Fresh Face Bangalore pageant. She was a Runner-up in Miss Fresh Face 2014. Her elder sister Anusha Ranganath is also a film actress.
